The End of an Era

I sat down and looked around, reminiscing the laughter, tears, and memories that I have created this school year. Indeed, time really passes by quickly that even I cannot believe it. It is really hard to believe that this blog will be the second to the last one that I will post on this blog site. After nine long months of a journey to discoveries and knowledge, my junior high school life is ultimately coming to an end. Four quarters and tons of modules later, we’ve finally made it to where we are now.

As my tenth-grade year concludes, I find myself reflecting on how far I have come and how well I have done throughout this school year. This quarter felt shorter and a ton more stressful compared to the previous ones. Excitement, happiness, stress, anxiety, and exhaustion welcomed me at the start of this quarter. However, all the negative emotions were overwhelmed by the happiness and excitement that I had felt when I first joined the limited face-to-face classes of our school. Lots of fun activities and memorable experiences awaited me as I joined the limited face-to-face classes that our school offered to us.

I have learned a lot during the years of studying ICT as my TLE specialty, and there’s still more that I can learn and get out of it. At first, I assumed it was a difficult and complex subject to grasp. However, with the support of my excellent and patient teachers, I was able to gain additional information, knowledge, and skills throughout time. Here are some of the concepts and topics that I have learned in my fourth year in high school in the ICT subject, specifically in the fourth quarter. For this quarter, I learned how to use Microsoft FrontPage, an application used to create online pages without having to worry about coding. It is an application that allows you to quickly access and modify Hypertext Markup Language (HTML) tags directly while you’re editing a page in WYSIWYG (what you see is what you get) view. Adding contents, pages, and interactive buttons to my own website was a pleasant experience, and having them work is also a delight and fun experience. As I learned more about Microsoft FrontPage, I observed and saw its significance and purpose in creating online pages for the internet.

I have faced minor problems along the way, which was quite challenging for me. The problem that emerged was the lack of knowledge on the use of the Microsoft FrontPage. Since I was still a beginner in using the application, I didn’t have a clue or knowledge on how to operate and properly use the Microsoft FrontPage or create my own website using the application. I was just there sitting and staring at the screen of the computer in front of me, wondering what or how I should start creating my Community-Based Research website using the Microsoft FrontPage. Luckily, I was able to solve this problem with the help of my classmates who were already finished with their websites, and our teacher who was very patient with us.

Moving on, I will continue to strive and discover new knowledge in this subject. I am looking forward to learning and understanding more concepts about websites and the internet. I am also hoping to be able to do well in the upcoming years and along with good things. I will also use my newfound knowledge in blogging, web design, coding, and community-based research to produce beautiful and comprehensive online pages with informative content. This school year has further broadened my comprehension of the internet and showed me its perplexing possibilities. I will forever keep a place for ICT in my heart until I grow old and have difficulty handling technology.
